It's great to be able to celebrate special occassions at school. Last week was Science Week and Senior Infants were very busy. Different classes explored different areas of science and we all learned a lot! We had classes going on a bug hunt and we learnt about the spider lifecycle. We investigated different types of materials making a raincoat for Teddy - note tissue paper does NOT make a good raincoat! We found out that a birds feather was a fantastic unmbrella though! We predicted and experimented with floating and sinking. We made houses out of straws, bricks and sticks (just like in a story we know).  We explored light, reflections and shadows. We even had a disco ball!
