Happy December 2023!

We love December in The Marist School. We have decked the halls, begun our elf workshops, and of course we are being really, really well behaved!

Garlic bread?

3rd class have been busy planting garlic and onions. They are looking forward to some garlic bread if they mind their crop correctly!

Junior infants have planted pumpkin seeds in preparation for next Halloween.

Our tomatoes are growing.

We also have our spring bulbs sleeping and are looking forward to watching them bloom after Christmas.

Junior Science Week 2023

Ms Leacy's class had great fun watching the skittles rainbow experiment. We watched the colour coating dissolve and the colours spread out in a process called diffusion. We also "used science" to cover our apples in melted chocolate.Read More

Science Week Seniors 2023

2nd class looked at "Rainbow Mix" This was how different food colours act and react in a plate of soap and milk.

3rd class have been busy making proto types for ideas that will help the community! Their ideas are being presented to an engineer next week!

4th class have been lucky enough to be going to UCD to take part in scientific workshops workshops. They learnt so fr about the effects of force on an object and the effects of water pressure!

6th class built bridges using only spaghetti and marshmallows. The bridge had to be strong enough to hold a 2 euro coin!

6th class have been undertaking a course in hat making for a very special client base! Each girl designed and created their very own perfect Witch's hat. Not only have they showcased their creative flair, but also their excellent modelling skills. What a super, talented bunch of girls.

Hallowe'en 2023

We had an amazing day today for our Hallowe'en celebrations.

The costumes were outstanding. We had a bone hunt, a scavenger hunt and a disco party in the hall. It was lots of fun:)
