Marist Primary School

The country may be in lockdown but as a school community;children, teachers and SNAs, we were determined to make Hallowe'en 'happen' as it always does in the Marist Primary School, and as you can  see from the  array of photos we were successful! The day began with the children running into school as witches, pirates, clowns, babies in pyjamas, jellyfish, spidermen and batmen.....you name it we had it today! They were met by their teachers and SNAs who were equally decked out as  overweight pumpkins,  witches who quite obviously  didn't make it to the hairdressers before Wednesday night, and an unnamed ghost who seemed to really enjoy 'spooking' everyone as they arrived to school this morning. Indeed the event was one that was so obviously not to be missed, that even Donald Trump ( Mollie Byrne 4th Class)  turned up and in doing so  forfeited a day's electioneering ! The children all took part in a spooky outdoor Wake Up Shake Up  with Ms. O' Callaghan, and then took part in  Hallowe'en games and activities in their classrooms and finished off the day with a feast of Hallowe'en treats!  Sincere thanks to everyone who made the day so memorable and especially to Ms. Tiernan for her organization of the event. We hope the children enjoyed their special day in school and that they returned home suitably tired but happy!
