Happy Easter and Well Done Everyone
As Easter approaches we, the staff of the Marist Primary School, want to say a big thank you to all the children who have worked so well, at their lessons, over the past few weeks. We know it is not easy to do all your school work at home; just continue to do your best as you use this time to learn new skills. We look forward to hearing about all you have learned at home when you return to school. Also, we would ask that you continue to be kind to your brothers and sisters and to look for more little ways you can help your parents at home, during this very unusual time.
To parents, we wish to acknowledge the wonderful work you are doing with your children during this very challenging time. They will learn a lot more from you at home than will ever be on our lesson plans. In years to come they will not only remember this time as a time when Mammy or Daddy turned into a teacher, but as a time when you went to great lengths to keep them safe and protected. Don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself around your children's work; working on school work at home is not the same as working in school. Be assured the children will catch up when we get back to school.
There is an old Irish phrase which states; Ní neart go cur le chéile - meaning there is no strength without unity. Now, more than ever we hope that our combined efforts will yield a good outcome for everyone in the weeks ahead.
Easter is a time of Hope and new beginnings; we as a staff look forward with Hope to better days ahead for everyone.
Every good wish for Easter to you all,
Sr. Geraldine and the Staff of the Marist Primary School
