Student Council 2021 - 2022

The Student Council is made up of two students from each of 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th classes. They provide a valuable communication link between the student body and the Staff of the school.

The Student Council can help us bring about change, improvements, innovations, solutions and projects to enhance the life of our school community.

This year, the School Council undertook a valuable survey of pupils to assess whether the girls in the school would like the option to wear trousers as part of their formal uniform. The survey was also conducted with the staff & parents. The result is that, from September, the girls will all have the option to wear navy trousers as part of their uniform, as well as their blue skirt.

Another project they undertook, & helped to organise, was an Art Trail Exhibition. The theme for the whole school was 'A Garden', & students could paint, draw, create a collage or 3D model. The results were impressive in their imagination & creativity! You can view them on our website.

The girls also undertake, every year, to distribute play equipment in the yard during the last term. They supervise the allocated weeks and fair rotation amongst the classes, and they take care of the inventory of items, whether lost, damaged, or intact.

Another regular part of their role is to check on the suggestions that are submitted into our classroom suggestion boxes. This is where any pupil can have an idea to do something for, or in, the school, & share it. Every idea is looked at & discussed at our regular meetings. Many good ideas have been brought to action this way. The uniform trousers option is one such example!
