The National Children's Choir Concert
On Tuesday the 28th of April our 5th and 6th class girls performed in the National Children's Choir in the Arena in Tallaght. They joined with choirs from around Dublin to provide a wonderful memorabe night for their families, friends and school staff.
The choir was directed by Ms Anne Purcell and the compere on the night was Mr Emmaueal Lawler, one of Ireland's leading tenors. The girls performed 18 songs, such as World in Union, Journey of Hope, 'Sí Do Mhaimeo Í and The Rhythm of Life, all were specifically arranged for the National Children's Choir.
The hard work and commitment to the choir was evident to all who were in the audience. A huge debt of gratitude is due to the class teachers and to our school choir director, Ms Orla Gordon .
Undoubtedly the girls will have wonderful memories of their fine performance.
